The Chinese Ponzi scam, PlusToken, was able to secure huge sums of money from gullible investors. The scam’s total value is about $3 billion. Essentially, via the transactions, the scammers essentially moved all the Ethereum from one to address to another. This morning ETH from one of the biggest crypto scams was moved to a new address.

PlusToken recently moved around $186 million worth of Ethereum and now investors fear Ethereum price sell-off and a dump in the ETH price. As the cryptocurrency news now show, PlusToken is one of the largest scams in the crypto world and earlier this week, the project tried to move 789,500 in Ether (ETH) but the movement of these stolen funds were temporarily held up by congestion issues

On December 16, the blockchain surveillance firm Chainalysis published an excerpt from its January 2020 report indicating the Plustoken Ponzi scheme might be behind the declining crypto prices this year. In a series of tweets this week, Dovey Wan, a crypto-centric venture capitalist that currently works for Primitive Ventures, revealed to many that a scam called “PlusToken” may be dumping thousands of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and potentially units of other crypto assets on the open market. Ethereum hit the recovery high at $134.50 and resumed the decline. At the time of writing, the second-largest digital asset is changing hands at $127.

Over $180 million worth of Ethereum has been moved from a previously dormant wallet belonging to the perpetrators of the PlusToken scam. PlusToken was a Ponzi scheme that operated mainly in Korea and China in 2018 and 2019.

The court heard how the PlusToken leadership accrued some USD 7.3bn worth of crypto and cash funds, mainly in bitcoin (BTC) and ethereum (ETH).
